Fabulous Protein Fudge makes a perfect Fast Day dessert, snack, or pick-me-up. Join DocP of Fast Days Healing Days, as she shares her recipe for hunger-busting, tasty, fudge so good you won’t even know you’re on an alternate day intermittent fast! Yes, you can enjoy desserts on Fast Days!
Sometimes, just knowing you can have a tasty treat for dessert, even on your Fast Day (FD), helps you make it through the hours of abstinence. This is just such a treat. It is delicious, sinful fudge, and the miracle of it is that it is so filling, thanks to the protein, that one or two small pieces with a cup of herbal tea will keep you happy and satiated until your Feast Day begins!
Fabulous Protein Fudge
Notes
The whole recipe is less than 200 calories and so delicious you will want to eat it every day! And you can—without cheating!
For a different type of fudge, vary your flavors. I love subbing peanut butter protein powder and peanut flour to replace the Hershey's. Add sugar free caramel DaVinci’s instead of the vanilla syrup. The sky is the limit!
Serving Ideas Serve with a hot cup of herbal tea and a great novel!

Ingredients
- 1/3 cup erythritol, granular
- 2 tablespoons fat free cream cheese, diced
- 1 scoop low carb chocolate protein powder (approx. 1/3 cup)
- 2 tablespoons Hershey’s Special Dark Cocoa Powder
- 2-3 tablespoons sugar free DaVinci’s Vanilla Syrup
Instructions
- In a small non-stick sauce pan over low heat, melt erythritol until it becomes liquid. (It doesn’t work with other sweeteners.)
- Add cream cheese and stir together until it melts into the liquid erythritol and becomes creamy. Do this off the heat to keep the erythritol from browning.
- Add protein powder and cocoa powder. This will make a soft dough. Add 2-3 TBS (or more) DaVinci’s sugar free vanilla syrup and stir briskly together. Add enough to make a soft frosting-like consistency. Line a 20 ounce glass container (about 5x5 inches) in plastic wrap and pour fudge into it to set. Cover and refrigerate until hard. Score into 6-8 pieces and enjoy.
